Nirmala

Pongal is one of the most popular harvest festivals of South India.It falls in the mid-january every year and marks the auspicious beginning of Uttarayan-son's journey northwards.We celebrated Pongal on 11th Jan 2018 in Michael Job Memorial College of Education for Women,Sulur. It was very blissful.We drew variety of rangoli designs.Cooked pongal in a new mud pot and offered to the Sun god.The students and also the teachers performed for the kummi song. Pongal and sugarcane were given to everyone.Celebrating Pongal in the college,we expressed our way to celebrate glorious heritage,culture and traditions.

"Prevention Is Better than Cure.Especially When Something has No Cure" AIDS Awareness program,a program to highlight the impact of  HIV/AIDS on young people was held on 2nd Jan 2018 in the seminar hall of MJMC of  Education for  Women.The chief guest was our respected principal R.Ravi.He explained the concept of HIV/AIDS and its prevention.It as a very useful session to increase and update our knowledge on HIV/AIDS.

Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.It is the time for celebrations,gifts,fun,family,food,prayers and wishes.On 22nd Dec 2017 Christmas was celebrated in Michael Job Memorial College in a grand manner.The program  had many cultural events like songs and dances.At the end of the program Santa Clause arrived and filled the entire crowd with joy and danced with everyone as well.Everyone danced to the beats of  "Jingle Bells" and cakes were distributed to all.

"Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man"-swami Vivekananda On 11th November 2017,The Education Day was celebrated in Michael Job Memorial college of Education for Women to commemorate the birth anniversary of  Maulana Abdul kalam Azad.The chief guest was Dr.Victoria Naomi from Avinashilingam University.

" The Garden suggests there might be a place where we can meet nature halfway." A herbal garden was inaugurated on 4th November 2017 in the Michael Job College garden by the Dr.Reverent Jacob Thomas and Mrs.Jacob Thomas.There where four groups:Apple,Orange,Strawberry and Mango.

A Three days  Workshop on Tamil Dictionary was held from 31st Oct to 2nd Nov in MJC College of education for women

"An Average Teacher teaches But Best Teacher Inspires the Students" Celebrated teachers day  on Sept 05, 2017 in a grand manner Honored All The Teachers in MJM B.ED College.in this regard Paid Tributes to Dr.Sarvepally Radhakrishnan.   “A leader is not born; Teachers make the one.”
